Opernhaus Zürich AG, public limited company

Opernhaus Zürich AG (called “Theater-Aktiengesellschaft” until 1991) has more than 2,000 shareholders, of whom none owns more than ten percent of the total 7,866 registered shares.
Share capital is CHF 6,577,800.

The Board of Directors consists of eleven members, of whom six are elected and delegated by the Governing Council of the Canton of Zurich in accordance with article 12 of the Articles of Association. The Board of Directors has been chaired by Josef Estermann since 2003.

The financial year begins on 1 August and ends the following 31 July. The Annual General Meeting is held at the Opera House in late January or early February.

Capital increase

At the Annual General Meeting of 23 January 2012, Opernhaus Zürich AG unanimously resolved to increase its equity from the current sum of CHF 6,577,800 to a maximum of CHF 9,866,400 by issuing a maximum of 3,654 registered shares at a nominal value of CHF 900 each. Besides the existing shareholders, new interested parties are now also welcome to participate in the capital increase. In return, shareholders can take advantage of an extensive shareholder benefit programme. For further information, please click on the link.
