It is often helpful not only to perform music, but also to talk about it. With the form of the discussion concert, we are therefore offering you the opportunity to gain insight into the works performed beyond the actual music. We will talk to the musicians and inform you in a relaxed, conversational manner, discussing the genesis of the pieces, biographical aspects and aesthetic background information. As a tragically visionary artist of the 2Oth century, the composer Bernd Alois Zimmermann, whose pioneering opera Die Soldaten can be heard at the Opera House, is particularly suited to this form of discussion.
