DVD Messa da Requiem
The premiere of Verdi's monumental masterpiece Messa da Requiem on 3 December was the absolute highlight of this season and was celebrated by the press and the audience. Christian Spuck, director of the Zurich Ballet, is the choreographer and director of this large-scale Community production of ballet and opera. The musical direction was in the hands of the general music director Fabio Luisi. For the soloists in Messa da Requiem, the opera house has engaged four world-class singers: Krassimira Stoyanova, Veronica Simeoni, Francesco Meli and Georg Zeppenfeld.
Due to the enormous demand and the uniqueness of this large-scale Community production, we would like to make Messa da Requiem available on DVD and Blu-Ray for all opera and ballet fans worldwide. Please support us. Your donation can be sent to us on this website via PayPal, Credit Card or PostFinance. We are already saying THANK YOU! For donations of CHF 100 or more, we would like to thank you by sending your personal DVD in September 2017, before the DVD goes into the worldwide trade. Read your name in the booklet.

The stage manager
Although invisible for the audience, a stage manager is of an even greater importance for everyone involved in a performance. She (in this case) is the linchpin of a performance. The stage manager’s desk located in the wings resembles a control center where everything comes together. From the door opening until the last curtain, she pulls all the strings for the whole evening. Did we pique your interest? Then, follow our stage manager Julia Mathes for the performance of Messa da Requiem on 16 December 2016, at 7pm or on 13 January 2017, at 8pm. We promise you a night full of excitement!
Each date max. 1 person / Contribution: CHF 5’000
All supporters will additionally be mentioned in the booklet of the DVD and Blu-Ray as well as on the website and receive a personal copy of the DVD or Blu-Ray, which will be delivered to their home on the release date.
