Concessions

In order to acquire tickets at reduced prices, a valid photo ID from the place of study, a pension (AHV) or disability (IV) card, or the pupil’s or apprenticeship ID must always be shown, both when buying the ticket and when attending the performance. Box Office employees are authorised to refuse ID cards without a validity date. Reduced-price tickets can be acquired only by telephone and in person at the Opera House Box Office. Members of the Club Jung can also acquire reduced-price tickets online. All concessions listed below are not applicable to third-party events, premières, gala and special performances, performances priced in the G and K categories, and people’s performances.

From the beginning of general advance sales

Children (6–11 years) accompanied by an adult are entitled to tickets at student prices for all performances.
Student prices for performances in price categories A–C: 35/ 25/ 20/ 18/ 13
Student prices for performances in price categories D–F: 45/ 33/ 25/ 20/ 15

AHV and IV pensioners are entitled to a 50% discount on tickets for Sunday afternoon performances.

Subscribers are entitled to a 10% discount on a maximum of four (4) tickets per performance.

From one week before the performance

Schoolchildren, students and apprentices are entitled to tickets from a restricted quota at student prices:
Student prices for performances in price categories A–C: 35/ 25/ 20/ 18/ 13
Student prices for performances in price categories D–F: 45/ 33/ 25/ 20/ 15

From 30 minutes before the performance

From 30 minutes before the performance, children, schoolchildren, students, apprentices and holders of the KulturLegi card are entitled to acquire all remaining tickets for the last-minute price of CHF 20. Club Jung members can acquire these cards for the price of CHF 15. Special requests regarding seat allocation cannot be taken into account.

FURTHER CONCESSIONS

For selected performances, there is an online ticket quota for Club Jung members at the price of CHF 25 per ticket. These performances will be communicated to members by newsletter.

For selected performances, members of the Family Club can acquire children’s tickets from a restricted quota online for the price of CHF 20 per ticket. These performances will be communicated to members by newsletter.

For selected performances, AHV and IV pensioners can acquire tickets online at a 50% discount. The quota is restricted. These performances will be communicated to members by e-newsletter.

 

AMAG PEOPLE’S PERFORMANCES

AMAG people’s performances enable theatre lovers to visit Zurich Opera House at considerably reduced prices.
Thanks to the generous support of AMAG Automobil und Motoren AG, we are able to offer the productions shown in the margin as people’s performances, with tickets priced between CHF 15 and 75.

Advance ticket sales for the AMAG people’s performances begin one month before the performances in question. If the day when ticket sales for these performances falls on a Sunday or public holiday, advanced ticket sales will begin the previous day on which the Box Office is open. A maximum of four tickets may be sold to one person for AMAG people’s performances.

Opera House day

Zurich Opera House for spontaneous decision-makers: from noon on Opera House Day, you receive a 50% discount at the Box Office for the evening performance. The monthly Opera House Days are announced online and in our monthly programme on the 20th of the previous month.
If the day when ticket sales for these performances falls on a Sunday or public holiday, advanced ticket sales will begin the previous day at noon.
