With a subscription, you have fixed seats without having to queue at the Box Office. You choose your seats before general advance tickets sales begin. In the case of subscription cycles, you may be allocated a seat different from your regular one for certain performances.
Compared with regular ticket prices on general sale, we guarantee you savings of about 10% (except for the Première A subscription). If you would like to order individual tickets in addition to your subscription, you will also benefit from a 10% discount off up to four tickets per performance in price categories A–F.
The despatch of the monthly programme is included in the price of your subscription.
The Director and Ballet Director invite you to an exclusive presentation of the seasonal programme, after which you will have the opportunity to make conversation with employees of the Opera House.
Zurich Opera House offers a variety of attractive subscription cycles, allowing you to ensure that you have tickets for your favourite operas and ballets before the beginning of the next season. The subscription cycles are available for days of the week (e.g. Wednesday subscription) or genres (e.g. ballet subscription), and in all price categories.

Would you like to see Zurich Ballet’s choreographies danced by different casts? With the Dance Ticket you can attend all ballet performances – including premières – with a 20% discount off the regular price for twelve months from the date of purchase. The Dance Ticket costs CHF 60 and entitles you to buy one reduced-price ticket per performance. Ballet subscription holders and children, students and apprentices can buy the ticket for the special price of CHF 30. They can attend as many performances as they like and acquire their tickets in advance by telephone, in writing or at the Box Office, or spontaneously just before the performance. Gala performances are excluded. The Dance Ticket is not transferrable and must be shown at the performance together with your entry ticket and photo ID.

SUBSCRIPTION PRICES
Subscription prices are based on the ticket prices of the performances in question, minus a general subscription discount (except for Première subscription A). The service fees for the subscription and the cloakroom are included in the price.
FAMILY SUBSCRIPTIONS
Parents who have ordered a Sunday afternoon or concert subscription can buy the same subscription for their children up to the age of 16 at student rates.
SENIOR CITIZEN SUBSCRIPTIONS
Senior citizens are entitled to a 50% reduction on Sunday Afternoon subscriptions. If the subscription is transferred to persons not entitled to old age pensions, the difference from the normal price must be paid before the performance at the Box Office and a valid entry ticket must be acquired.
RENEWAL OF EXISTING SUBSCRIPTIONS
If the subscription contract mentioned on the invoice that we will send you by post by the end of March 2013 is not terminated in writing by 30 April 2013, it will be considered to have been concluded, in accordance with subscription conditions, for the 2013/2014 season. Please pay the fee by 30 April 2013. Your subscription card or tickets will be sent to you in August 2013.
Subscribers wishing to alter their subscriptions are asked to inform the Opera House Subscription Service, Falkenstrasse 1, CH-8008 Zurich in writing or send an e-mail to tickets[at]opernhaus.ch by 30 April 2013 at the latest. Please also return the invoice and paying-in slip to us so that we can send you a new invoice. Please do not make any payments in advance. We will inform you of your seat allocation and send the final invoice as of May 2013.
NEW SUBSCRIPTIONS
New subscribers are asked to send their subscription requests in writing or the online form to the Opera House’s Subscription Service. Orders will be processed in the order in which they arrive. We will inform you of your seat allocation and send you your invoice as of May 2013.
SUBSCRIPTION TICKETS
You will be sent your subscription card (for season tickets) or tickets (for subscription cycles) in August 2013. Subscription cards are transferrable. In the event of loss of subscription cards, a processing fee of CHF 10 per seat will be charged.
NON-ATTENDANCE AND SUBSCRIPTION SUBSTITUTION
No refund will be paid for performances not attended. Tickets for a substitute performance of the same production will be made available for a fee of CHF 10 if equivalent seats are available. The substitution must take place at least seven calendar days before the date of the original performance. If the substitute performance is set in a higher price category, the additional cost must be paid. Alternatively, if you are unable to attend a performance, you can donate your subscription card to the Club Jung, thus enabling a young person to visit Zurich Opera House free of charge.
SUBJECT TO CHANGE
We expressly reserve the right to change prices, performances and casts, dates and times, as well as the seating plan due to artistic considerations or television recordings. Please find the final starting times in the daily newspapers or on our website.
CHANGES OF ADDRESS
Please inform us of any changes of address in writing.
