Choreography Workshop

Active Holiday Program for 12-18 year-olds

Create your own dance piece

Choreography literally means «writing dance», but how does that actually work? And what’s important when choreographing? This week-long course offers participants to answer those questions. This time, we’ll be inspired by Canadian choreographer Crystal Pite, whose work has recently dealt with swarm intelligence in bee colonies and the transience of movement. In the space of a week, we’ll work individually and in small groups, developing short dance pieces, which we’ll present to family and friends at a final show.
This program also includes attendance at an evening performance of Angels’ Atlas with works by Crystal Pite and Marco Goecke.

Mon 21 Feb to Fri 25 Feb 2022
Daily from 10am to 2pm
Program performance on Fri 25 Feb 2022, 6pm
