The festival "Zürich Barock" unfolds over ten days with a programme of music theatre, concerts, song recitals, chamber music and family concerts. International top ensembles and leading artists are invited. A highlight is the premiere of Handel’s "Rinaldo", complemented by "La clemenza di Tito" and the concert performance of "Ascanio in Alba". Mozart’s Great Mass in C minor is performed with the Zurich Sing-Akademie and Orchestra La Scintilla. Jordi Savall, recipient of the Ernst von Siemens Music Prize 2026, conducts Handel’s "Te Deum" with Le Concert des Nations and La Capella Nacional de Catalunya, complemented by works by Michel-Richard Delalande and Arvo Pärt. The countertenor Jakub Józef Orliński and the harpsichordist Jean Rondeau present solo recitals. In "The Divine", students of ZHdK combine electronic sounds with early music and explore the sound of the divine.
