Sponsoring the International Opera Studio
Under
the patronage of the Friends of Zurich Opera, the International Opera Studio
(IOS) has been one of the world’s leading training institutions for young opera
singers since 1961. For many years, the IOS has offered a large number of
singers a platform from which to launch a successful career.
Young artists are often not in a position to finance their studies at the IOS
Zurich. For this reason, Director Alexander Pereira and the IOS management have
set themselves the goal of awarding grants to all students.
By acquiring Opera
House membership from the Friends of Zurich Opera, you will be taking on a
year’s grant for one of our young artists.
The young artists welcome not only your financial help, but also your moral
support. A sense of security and comfort in a new environment is decisive to
the success of their training and the establishment of their careers. For this
reason we are also very grateful for free accommodation and your hospitality.
May we rely on your support and invest with you in the future of the
international opera scene?
