Your KulturLegi at the Opera House

Would you like to visit the Opera House with your KulturLegi? You can now book your tickets directly through the Opernhaus-App.

After a one-time verification, you can purchase available last-minute tickets from 13:00 on the day of the performance.

3. A customer account for purchasing tickets

Have you purchased tickets for the Opera House before? In that case, you can use your existing account.

1. Download the app and log in

Have you purchased tickets for the Opera House before? In that case, you can use your existing account.

2. Verify KulturLegi

You can find the verification in the app under "My Menu".

For the verification you will need:

  • Canton
  • Personal number
  • Date of Birth

We will verify your details. Verification only takes a few minutes. You only have to verify your KulturLegi once.

3. Buy a Ticket

After the verification you can buy available last-minute tickets directly through the app.

You can find the performance in the app under "Schedule". Select the desired performance. Afterwards select the ticket category "KulturLegi".

One KulturLegi ticket is available per person. 

You may also purchase an additional ticket at the regular price for a companion, subject to availability. 

When are online tickets available?

Performances from Monday to Saturday

Tickets will be available on the app from 13:00 on the day of the performance.

Performances on Sundays and public holidays

For these, you can book from 13:00 the day before the performance.

For which performances are online last-minute tickets available?

The online offer is valid for performances on the Main Stage.

If no last-minute tickets are visible in the app, the online allocation has either been used up or is not available for that performance.

Online last-minute tickets are not available for the following performances:

  • Premieres
  • AMAG Volksvorstellungen
  • Guest performances
  • Benefit performances
  • "La Fanciulla del West" (28 February, 3 and 7 March 2027)
  • "Alice im Wunderland"
  • "La clemenza di Tito"
  • "La bohème" (4, 7 and 10 July 2027)

At the box office

The last-minute offer at the box office always applies. 

From 90 minutes before the performance begins, you can ask for a KulturLegi ticket at the box office. If any tickets remain available, you can purchase one there. 

This also applies to performances for which no online last-minute tickets are offered. 

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to verify my KulturLegi again each time? 
No, the verification is only needed once. After that you can book your tickets directly via the Opernhaus-App.

Where can I find the verification in the app?
You can find the verification under "My Menu".

What details do I need for the verification? 
You will need the canton, the personal number and your date of birth. You can find all the needed information on your KulturLegi.

I already have an account with the Opera House. Can I use this one?
Yes, if you have already purchased tickets for the Zurich Opera House in the past, please use your existing account.

Can I buy multiple KulturLegi Tickets for a performance?
No. One KulturLegi ticket is available per person.

Can I buy a ticket for a companion?
Yes, in addition to your KulturLegi ticket you can purchase a ticket for the regular price, subject to availability.

Why can’t I see any last-minute tickets in the App for a certain performance?
If no last-minute tickets are visible, the online allocation has either been used up or is not available for that performance.

Can I still get a ticket at the box office?
Yes. The last-minute offer at the box office always applies. From 90 minutes before the performance begins, you can ask for any remaining tickets at the box office.

When can I buy a ticket online?
From Monday to Saturday you can book a ticket from 13:00 on the day of the performance. For performances on Sundays or public holidays booking is already open from 13:00 the day before the performance.

What happens when there are no more tickets available?
Online tickets are only available as long as the online allocation is not exhausted. You can still ask at the box office for any remaining tickets from 90 minutes before the performance begins.

What do I do when my KulturLegi has expired?
You cannot purchase any KulturLegi tickets with an expired KulturLegi. Please submit a new application to KulturLegi.
