Musikgeschichten «Vom Weggehen und Ankommen»

On the studio stage of the Opera House we present the story of the award-winning children's book The Escape of Francesca Sanna with music from Mozart's operas Zaide, Idomeneo and Die Entführung aus dem Serail and with pictures from the book. It describes the arduous journey of a family from its war-disabled homeland to Switzerland and, in addition to loss and disappointment, tells of hope, courage and departure. The picture book was created after the meeting with two refugee children in Italy and aims to bring this current topic closer to other children in an age-appropriate way. The children are within reach of the narrator, the singers and musicians, singing, dancing and shaping the action.
