Gianandrea Noseda has been General Music Director of Zurich Opera House since the 2021/22 season. He is also Music Director of the National Symphony Orchestra and Principal Guest Conductor of the London Symphony Orchestra. In 2019, he became Music Director of the newly founded Tsinandali Festival and the Georgian Pan-Caucasian Youth Orchestra. From 2007 to 2018, Noseda served as General Music Director of the Teatro Regio di Torino, artistically reshaping the opera house during this period. Noseda has conducted the world's leading orchestras (Berlin Philharmonic, Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, Vienna Philharmonic) as well as at the most prestigious opera houses (La Scala, Metropolitan Opera, Royal Opera House) and festivals (BBC Proms, Edinburgh, Salzburg and Verbier). He has held leading positions with the BBC Philharmonic (Chief Conductor), Israel Philharmonic Orchestra (Principal Guest Conductor), Mariinsky Theatre (Principal Guest Conductor) and Stresa Festival (Artistic Director). His discography comprises more than 80 CDs – the "Musica Italiana" project, featuring neglected 20th-century Italian repertoire, holds a special place. Born in Milan, Noseda is a Commendatore al Merito della Repubblica Italiana and received the City of Milan's Order of Merit in 2024. In 2015, he was honoured as "Musical America's Conductor of the Year", named "Conductor of the Year" at the International Opera Awards in 2016 and received the Puccini Prize in 2023. In the same year, the Oper!Awards named Noseda "Best Conductor", particularly highlighting his interpretations of the first two operas of the "Ring" cycle at Zurich Opera House.

The internationally acclaimed soprano Lise Davidsen comes from Norway. Since winning the Operalia singing competition in London and the International Queen Sonja Competition in 2015, she has made a name for herself particularly as an interpreter of Wagner, Strauss and Verdi, making her debuts at such prestigious venues as the Metropolitan Opera in New York, the Royal Opera House in London, Teatro alla Scala in Milan, the Bavarian State Opera in Munich, the Vienna State Opera, the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence, the Bayreuth Festival and the Glyndebourne Festival. On the concert stage, she has appeared at the BBC Proms and the Vienna Philharmonic's Summer Night Concert, among others, and has performed with the Orchestre de Paris, the London Philharmonic Orchestra and the Berlin Philharmonic, among others. Most recently, she has appeared as Isolde at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona and at the Metropolitan Opera in New York, as Leonore ("Fidelio"), also at the Met, and as Tosca in Vienna, Munich, Berlin and New York. In the 2026/27 season, Lise Davidsen will sing Verdi's Lady Macbeth at the Met's season opening and make her debut as Brünnhilde ("Die Walküre") at the Salzburg Easter Festival. At the Berlin State Opera, she will appear as Leonora ("La forza del destino") and at Zurich Opera House, where she was last heard as Agathe ("Der Freischütz"), as Elisabetta in "Don Carlo". In 2026, she most recently released a Verdi album with the London Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Edward Gardner. The album "Live at the Met", featuring pianist James Baillieu, was also released in 2026.
