Dear young ladies and gentlemen

On Saturday, 14. March 2O2O the motto at Zurich Opera House will be: Alles Waltzer! We cordially invite you to open the ball as debutants as it has been the tradition for many years.

Requirements
You are between 17 and 24 years old, take pleasure in dancing and see yourself making your debut at one of the most beautiful balls in Switzerland. The application is binding for all participants.
Furthermore your presence is required on all rehearsal dates.
The responsibility for the choreography of the performance and for the direction of the rehearsal process lies with by Marianne Kaiser from Tanzschule Kaiser.

Rehearsal Dates
Every Monday from 18.3O to 2O.3O on the following days:
January 13th, 2Oth, 27th 2O2O
February 3rd, 24th 2O2O
March 2nd 2O2O
Dress rehearsal on March 9th 2O2O.
Location: Freies Gymnasium Zurich
If necessary, additional rehearsals will be scheduled.

Partnering
We welcome applications as a couple but it is also possible to register as a single participant.

Debutante dress
This year’s debutante dress will be manufactured and custom-tailored by Modissa Zürich for the price of 49O CHF. The measurement sessions take place on the 23rd and on Monday, 25th of November until Saturday, 3Oth of November 2O19 between 11am and 5pm at Modissa, Bahnhofstr. 74, 8OO1 Zurich.
After the measurement session, the ordering of the dress is binding.

Tailcoat for debutants
Wearing a tailcoat is mandatory. Information regarding renting possibilities will be provided to you later during rehearsals.

Advice for parents, relatives and acquaintances
At a later date you will receive a personal invitation for the opera ball. You then can reserve your ball card with the note debutant parents / relatives.

Application
Participation is limited to 32 couples, Applications will be considered in the order of reception. The definitive confirmation follows shortly after the registration deadline.
Please send the completed form to the specified address above. The registration is binding. Registration deadline is November 2Oth 2O19. The Participation at the Opera Ball is free of charge for debutants.
