In March 2026, the orchestra and chorus of the Zurich Opera went on a European tour. Under the direction of General Music Director Gianandrea Noseda, they performed together with the soloists Marina Rebeka, Regula Mühlemann, Agnieszka Rehlis, Joseph Calleja, and Alexander Vinogradov in Aix-en-Provence, Dijon, Hamburg, Luxembourg, Munich, Paris, and Vienna. The tour comprised two different programs. In six performances, Giuseppe Verdi’s monumental “Messa da Requiem” was presented. In addition, two guest performances featured a second program, which combined sacred arias by Giovanni Battista Pergolesi and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart with Sergei Prokofiev’s “Romeo and Juliet” suite.
