Abstract
Violinist María Dueñas is taking the world's most prestigious concert stages by storm. Born in Granada in 2002, she fell in love with the sound of the violin at an early age and soon studied in Dresden and Vienna. At the age of 20, she released her debut album with Deutsche Grammophon. In 2024, she will be performing Max Bruch's popular, melodious 1st Violin Concerto at the Salzburg Festival and the Wiener Konzertverein - and at the start of our new concert season at Opernhaus Zürich. Markus Poschner will be the guest conductor of the Philharmonia Zurich, conducting Pyotr Tchaikovsky's 6th Symphony Pathétique in the second half of the concert.
