Abstract
As Lakmé in three concert performances of the opera of the same name by Léo Delibes, Sabine Devieilhe drew ovations from the Zurich audience in April and more than lived up to her reputation as an exquisite coloratura soprano and one of the most versatile interpreters of our time. Before she performs Susanna in the new production of Mozart's Le nozze di Figaro at the Salzburg Festival this summer, she will give a song recital at Zurich Opera House. Accompanied by Mathieu Pordoy, Sabine Devieilhe takes an extended excursion into the German-language song repertoire. The programme includes compositions by Alban Berg, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Hugo Wolf and Richard Strauss.
