Starting on 15 February, Zurich Opera House presents Paul Hindemith’s opera "Cardillac", one of the most gripping works of musical theatre of the 20th century. The story of a murderous goldsmith, based on E. T. A. Hoffmann’s novella "Das Fräulein von Scuderi", is a psychological thriller about the dark side of art. In the matinee, conductor Fabio Luisi, director Kornél Mundruczó, Gábor Bretz (Cardillac), Anett Fritsch (Tochter), Michael Laurenz (Offizier), and Dorottyá Lang (Die Dame) offer a first insight into the work and the production.
