Mezzo-soprano Katia Ledoux was born in Paris and grew up in Austria. She has been a member of the International Opera Studio in Zurich since the 2019/20 season, and has been appeared in a number of productions, including Die Sache Makropulos, Belshazzar, Coraline, Die Zauberflöte, and Iphigénie en Tauride. Her song recital, presented together with pianist Anna Hauner, is a wild ride through pop and operatic repertoire. Katia Ledoux sings about love, saying «from Argentina to Tanzania, from Gluck to Alicia Keys, and past melting hearts, maternal love, true love, a quick fling with Mr. Right Now, unrequited love, and love for one’s public: French singer Barbara’s breakthrough song Ma plus belle histoire d’amour provides the evening’s secret theme.»
