Between tragedy and satyr play: With “Monster’s Paradise”, a new music theatre work by Olga Neuwirth and Elfriede Jelinek is being created in cooperation with the Hamburgische Staatsoper. Two “vampirettes” travel as avatars of their creators through a sinking world, while a tyrannical king and a sea monster struggle for power.
At the preview, there will be an exclusive rehearsal insight on the stage of the Opernhaus Zürich, followed by a discussion at the Bernhard Theater. Director Tobias Kratzer and conductor Titus Engel will speak about the concept and rehearsal process. The discussion will be moderated by Fabio Dietsche.
