Workshop series for young adults 16 years and older
A contemporary tribute to the god of dance
The choreographer Marco Goecke has dedicated an evening-long ballet to the dancer and choreographer of the century Vaslav Nijinski. Goecke translates Nijinski's high flights, crash and mental illness into his unmistakable, shaky nervous to furious body language. This workshop series offers the opportunity to deal with Marco Goecke's way of working and choreographic handwriting and at the same time to immerse oneself in the life and work of Vaslav Nijinski. In addition to a rehearsal visit, we will also learn a lot about the process of creating this work in an exchange with the members of the Zurich Ballet, and of course the series will conclude with a joint performance visit of the ballet Nijinski.
