Philharmonia Zürich and Orchestra La Scintilla
Our concert series with the Philharmonia Zürich and the Orchestra La Scintilla spans this musical period for four centuries, ranging from Italian Baroque music of the 17th century to important orchestral works and instrumental concerts of the 18th and 19th centuries by Mozart, Beethoven, Dvořák, Bruckner, Ravel and Stravinsky, to selected Italian composers from the second half of the 20th century. A highlight of our concert season is Mendelssohn's large-format oratorio Elias. We are looking forward to the conductors Teodor Currentzis and Alain Altinoglu, and, of course, to our general music director, Fabio Luisi, the pianist Hélène Grimaud, who is twice guest in Zurich, the tenor Juan Diego Flórez, interpreting Mozart arias with four symphony concerts at the Philharmonia Zurich.
The Philharmonic concerts are supported by Evelyn and Herbert Axelrod
