Guided Tours

A variety of tours take you onto the stage, past the props, makeup, and costume departments, into the costume storage, and through the furniture and set warehouse of the opera house.

Previews

Starting this season, you have the opportunity to experience the creation of a new production live. One week before the premiere, attending a stage and orchestra rehearsal on Saturday morning offers an exclusive first glimpse. Afterwards, the director, musical director, and participating artists share insights into the background of the production.

Matinees

Members of the artistic team talk with the dramaturges about the work, its themes, and the production concept. The matinees take place alternately with rehearsal visits (“Previews”) one or two weeks before each premiere.

ZURICH TALKS DANCE

Under the title “Zurich Talks Dance,” Ballett Zürich, ZHdK, Tanz Akademie Zürich, and Tanzhaus Zürich invite audiences to inspiring encounters. Through talks, lectures, and workshops, they open the doors to the world of dance – artistically, professionally, and educationally. The audience gains exclusive insights into the lives and work of dancers, choreographers, and other creatives, experiencing the vibrant diversity of Zurich’s dance scene.

Opernhaus für alle

For the first time, the Zurich Opera House invites everyone to an entire “opera for all” weekend! For three days, Sechseläutenplatz will transform into a grand open-air stage featuring live broadcasts and a festive open-air concert conducted by Gianandrea Noseda – all with free admission. The program also includes a colorful pre-show and the debut performance of the new Children’s Opera Orchestra.
