The Orchestra on the Road in Zurich Bars
New ways into the city. With "Offstage", Zurich Opera House brings its orchestra out of the pit and directly into the city. In a new series of pop-up concerts, musicians from the Zurich Opera Orchestra perform in popular bars and venues—without tailcoats and with free admission. In doing so, the opera house presents classical music in a different light and seeks encounters with audiences outside the traditional setting.
The roughly 30-minute pop-up concerts combine spontaneous joy of playing with vibrant bar culture. That means: drop in, listen, be surprised—and maybe enjoy a drink along the way.
