Abstract
What should you do when you're bored on a sunny afternoon? The best idea is to follow a white rabbit rushing by with a pocket watch in his paw mumbling to himself, "Oh dear! Oh dear! I shall be too late!“ Alice certainly doesn't doubt for a second that this is exactly what she has to do. She follows the rabbit and finds herself in a world where all the familiar rules seem to have been turned on their head and yet many things seem strangely familiar to her. In this world there are not only little bottles marked with the words "Drink me!" that shrink Alice to the size of a mosquito, but also irresistibly delicious cakes, which make her grow so enormous that she can see the treetops from above. There is a cook whose kitchen is scattered with pepper that makes everyone sneeze, while a strange duchess lives with a huge cat that cannot only speak, but also dance. The Mad Hatter celebrates non-birthdays 364 days a year with the March Hare and the Dormouse over a cup of tea, the grinning Cheshire Cat appears and disappears at whim, and a hookah-smoking caterpillar completely confuses Alice by asking „Who are you?".... Maybe it's all just a dream? Or does Alice only exist at all because the snoring King of Hearts happens to be dreaming about her?
