Abstract

A little bottle labelled "Drink Me!" that makes one shrink, a cake that causes one to grow immeasurably after eating it, a mad hatter who celebrates an unbirthday on 364 days of the year – these and many other curious adventures are experienced by Alice after she follows a rabbit and falls down a hole. But is it really all just a dream? Lewis Carroll’s classic children’s book has fascinated many generations of theatre and film makers, including the Italian composer Pierangelo Valtinoni. His poetic music, as well as the imaginative and fast-paced staging by Nadja Loschky, already delighted audiences at the Zurich world premiere.
