Gianandrea Noseda has been General Music Director of the Zurich Opera House since the 2021/22 season. In addition, he is Music Director of the National Symphony Orchestra and Principal Guest Conductor of the London Symphony Orchestra. In 2019, he became Music Director of the newly founded Tsinandali Festival and the Georgian Pan-Caucasian Youth Orchestra. From 2007 to 2018, Noseda served as General Music Director of the Teatro Regio di Torino, where he artistically reshaped the opera house during his tenure. Noseda has conducted the world’s leading orchestras (Berlin Philharmonic, Chicago Symphony, Concertgebouw Orchestra, Vienna Philharmonic) as well as at the most prestigious opera houses (La Scala, Metropolitan Opera, Royal Opera House) and festivals (BBC Proms, Edinburgh, Salzburg, and Verbier). He has also held leading positions with the BBC Philharmonic (Chief Conductor), the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra (Principal Guest Conductor), the Mariinsky Theatre (Principal Guest Conductor), and the Stresa Festival (Artistic Director). His discography comprises more than 80 CDs, with a special focus on the "Musica Italiana" project, which features neglected 20th-century Italian repertoire. Born in Milan, Noseda is a Commendatore al Merito della Repubblica Italiana and received the Order of Merit of the City of Milan in 2024. In 2015, he was named "Musical America’s Conductor of the Year," was awarded "Conductor of the Year" at the 2016 International Opera Awards, and received the Puccini Prize in 2023. In the same year, the Oper! Awards honored Noseda as "Best Conductor," particularly recognizing his interpretations of the first two "Ring" operas at the Zurich Opera House.

Jean-Efflam Bavouzet wurde in Lannion, Frankreich geboren. Er studierte u.a. bei Pierre Sancan in Paris. 1995 debütierte er unter der Leitung von Sir Georg Solti mit dem Orchestre de Paris. Er hat eng mit Pierre Boulez, Maurice Ohana und Bruno Mantovani gearbeitet und setzt sich zudem für weniger bekannte französische Komponisten ein, etwa Gabriel Pierné und Albéric Magnard. Er ist häufig im Palazzetto Bru Zane zu sehen und ist als künstlerischer Leiter des International Lofoten Piano Festival tätig. Er war Artist-in-Residence beim Orquestra Sinfônica do Estado de São Paulo und hat mit dem NHK Symphony Orchestra, dem Sydney, Melbourne und Adelaide Symphony Orchestra und dem Hong Kong Philharmonic gearbeitet. Im Sommer 2015 ist Bavouzet zum nordamerikanischen Aspen Festival sowie zu den BBC Proms zurückgekehrt. Zu den Höhepunkten der Spielzeit 2015/16 gehören Debüts mit dem Svenska Kammaorkestern unter Jérémie Rhorer, dem Orquestra Simfònica de Barcelona und den Göteborger Symphonikern. Ausserdem wird er zum Orchestre National de Belgique mit Ion Marin zurückkehren, mit der Manchester Camerata, dem Haydn-Orchester von Bozen, dem Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana in Lugano unter Vladimir Ashkenazy auftreten und in den USA mit dem Cleveland Orchestra unter Vladimir Jurowski, dem San Francisco Symphony Orchestra und dem Seattle Symphony Orchestra zu sehen sein. In Konzerthallen wie dem Louvre in Paris und der Londoner Wigmore Hall gibt Bavouzet regelmässig Rezitale und hat kürzlich mit dem Komponisten Jörg Widmann für ein Kammermusikprojekt am Prinzregententheater in München zusammengearbeitet. In der aktuellen Saison kehrt er zur Londoner International Piano Series zurück und tritt in Santa Barbara, Denver, Calgary und Singapur auf. Bavouzet hat einen Exklusivvertrag mit Chandos. Seine Einspielung der gesamten Prokofjew-Klavierkonzerte mit dem BBC Philharmonic unter Gianandrea Noseda hat 2014 in der Kategorie «Konzert» den GramophoneAward erhalten. Zu weiteren Aufnahmen gehören Haydns Klavierkonzerte mit der Manchester Camerata und Gábor Takács-Nagy, Bartóks Klavierkonzerte mit dem BBC Philharmonic Orchestra unter Gianandrea Noseda sowie Strawinskys Gesamtwerk für Klavier und Orchester mit dem Orquestra Sinfônica do Estado de São Paulo unter Yan-Pascal Tortelier. Bavouzets Aufnahmen haben ihm zwei weitere Gramophone Awards, zwei BBC Music Magazine Awards sowie je einen Diapason d’Or und Choc de l’année eingebracht. Zurzeit nimmt er Beethovens und Haydns Klaviersonaten auf.
