Opening festival "24hOpernhaus"

Following the successful launch last season, there is once again the opportunity at the beginning of this season to discover the Zurich Opera House in an unusual way over the course of 24 hours.

With Opera Cinema Day, the Zurich Opera House brings opera and ballet live to cinema screens across the entire canton – complemented by exclusive behind-the-scenes insights and conversations with artists.

An open experimental space for music theatre, digital projects and participatory formats: with workshops, concerts and immersive offerings, a meeting place for all generations emerges – embedded in everyday life and without barriers.

Guest Performances

Alongside its concert formats, the Zurich Opera House emphasises international exchange: in 2026 "Un ballo in maschera" in Edinburgh, and in 2027 a concert performance of "Der Ring des Nibelungen" in Paris and New York – for the first time in its entirety at Carnegie Hall. A testament to its international standing.
