Abstract

Along with Mozart and Mendelssohn, Francis Poulenc is also considered one of the composers who created significant concertos for two pianos. In the slow movement of his work, Poulenc explicitly refers to Mozart; he himself described it as a "poetic play with the portrait of Mozart". The soloists are the brothers Lucas and Arthur Jussen, who belong to the most successful piano duos of our time. Following that, Hector Berlioz's famous "Symphonie fantastique" will be performed, a milestone that paved the way for program music.
