Open-air on three days: On an entire weekend in June 2026, spectators can enjoy live broadcasts of an opera and ballet performance as well as an open-air concert with the Zurich Opera Orchestra on Sechseläutenplatz.

Philosopher Barbara Bleisch and artistic director Matthias Schulz: 30 minutes about emotional extremes, a musical career as a dishwasher and the struggle for the last three percent.

Opera premieres

Thirteen opera premieres, ranging from classics and specials to the remote, are on the program of Matthias Schulz's first season and show individual and strong artistic signatures. Many directors and conductors are working at the opera house for the first time, and exciting debuts can also be discovered among the cast.

Ballet premieres

In her third season as director and chief choreographer of Ballett Zürich, Cathy Marston presents her own creations, works by other living renowned choreographers and newcomers as well as major key works from ballet history.

Concert season

Under its new old name, the Zurich Opera Orchestra is devoting itself to the great repertoire in seven Philharmonic Concerts with Gianandrea Noseda and renowned guest conductors and soloists. Concerts with La Scintilla, chamber concerts and recitals complete the concert program.
