Cycling- and Para-Cycling-WM Zurich 2024
The World Cycling and Para-Cycling Championships (World Cycling Championships) will take place from 21 to 29 September 2024. Many roads will be closed, resulting in major traffic obstructions in the city of Zurich. It is strongly recommended that you do not use your car.
Access to the Opera House on 28 and 29 September 2024 only possible with a performance ticket
Due to the road closures, only people with a valid admission ticket will have access to the opera house on 28 and 29 September. Please have your ticket ready to ensure admission. We recommend arriving early and using public transport, as many roads around the opera house will be closed from 5 am to 7 pm.
Travel planning from 21 to 29 September 2024
Please bear in mind that your usual routes may require more time. When planning your journey, we recommend that you check the online timetable on vbz.ch, zvv.ch, in the ZVV or SBB app shortly beforehand.
Avoid travelling by car and use alternative means of transport if possible. Please note that from 25 to 29 September 2024, from 5 am to 7 pm, tram and bus services will also be severely restricted. Train services will remain regular.
