overdress!
The Costume Party
When we invited people to our first costume party last March, we could not have imagined the force with which our guests would respond to the call overdress! Our house was flooded with overflowing creativity, impressive celebratory frenzy and unbridled joie de vivre. In all modesty we say: That was the best party ever!
But not for long, because the second edition is coming and it's going to be bigger, bolder, better: In addition to the main stage and the Spiegelsaal, there's a third dance floor bubbling away in the Bernhard Theater, we have a brilliant live band line-up (CRIMER! Traktororkestar! Dirty Slips! MAXiN!) and twice as many visitors are permitted. Which translates directly into twice as many costumes, ergo twice as much fun!
Come as a disco ball, Disney princess or decimal number and experience an evening that will go down in human history!

Good to know
On the main stage

Traktorkestar
/ MAXiN
Balkan sounds from Bern: The brass band «Traktorkestar» builds bridges between city and country, between tradition and modernity, in other words: between tractor and orchestra! For some, the performance culminates in a dance frenzy, for others, too. Afterwards, «MAXiN», one of Switzerland's most successful party bands, will get us fired up. Listen in now!
Exclusively for party guests, we will be holding a big costume parts sale on two days at the beginning of February. Buy your ticket now and browse through our collection!
At Bernhard Theater

CRIMER
/ Dirty Slips
Golden nails brush through the hair, flashes of light stream through the gloomy dancing and a massive amount of romantic urgency drips from the low ceiling: «CRIMER» is pop music with an 80s twist. The «Dirty Slips» follow at a later hour, putting on a «hyper-horror glitter disco punk show with a hell of a dance factor». Listen in now!
Do I have to wear a costume?
Yes, that would be good.
Can I appear in evening dress?
No, simply showing up in a ball gown is not the idea of the costume party. Why not mix up your glittering gown with a construction helmet, diving goggles or gorilla hands!
Can I hand in my coat?
Yes, the coat check is in operation and free of charge.
Do I have to have a full costume to attend the party?
Absolutely not, let your imagination run wild and appear as a tentacled tiger with a feather boa or a bodybuilder with a little tiara. Go for it and let it all out!
Can I just wear a «normal» costume?
Of course you can. If you don't want to put together a customised costume, come as a classic Robin Hood, Queen of Hearts or crocodile.
Is there a prize for the best costume?
No, this year there'll be no Costume Contest.
Will costumes be altered for me at the costume parts sale?
No, we cannot offer this service, but we can recommend good tailors.
Will there be food and drinks?
You bet! More info in due course.
Do I need to bring cash?
No, only card payment or TWINT is accepted at our bars.
How many dance floors are there?
Three: our main stage (say whaaat?!), Bernhard Theater and Spiegelsaal
