As of the 2023/24 season, Cathy Marston will be the new director of Ballet Zurich. Already this season, she will introduce herself to the Zurich audience with her ballet The Cellist, which is about the legendary cellist Jacqueline du Pré. In the matinee for this ballet premiere, dramaturge Michael Küster is in conversation with Cathy Marston and the ballet soloists Giulia Tonelli, Esteban Berlanga and Wei Chen.

We offer introductory matinees for each of our new productions. Join us as dramaturges meet conductors, stage directors, and set and costume designers in conversation to offer their own perspectives on each work. On Sunday mornings a week or two before each premiere, you’ll have the best seat in the house as you learn about what makes each production unique.
